Skill-Spamming aka Speedhack - does it still exist?

A few years ago, the pRO (Philippine Ragnarok Online) community got stunned with the appearance of players in the PVP rooms and WOE with somewhat no cast delay. A hunter would release 3++ Double Strafes in just a second, a knight spear stabbing like a madman, and a blacksmith with an uzi-speed mammonite. How did they do this? It was a program that can send packets to the client at a certain rate to elicit a desired effect. It was later then called "Speedhack".

The program works like this: It acts as a proxy for the ragnarok client and sends packets of a certain skill which it then sends at a predetermined rate (e.g. every .3 secs).

In the pRO community, I am one of the firsts who tried speedhack so I can atest that it is real. The one who made the program conducive to the pRO environment was a friend. It was good seeing your character turn number one on PVP rooms and noone can stop you. You could even use the program for boss hunting (it also has a feature that detects the location of an MVP monster in a map). Eventually, I quit RO and did not hear about any speedhack again.

A few years have passed, and I am wondering if it still exists. The exact program i used may be obsolete by now, but there are a number of other RO proxy programs there that can also do the trick. Among these are WPE Pro (BEWARE: my antivirus detected it as a virus, use at your own discretion) or ROAP (stands for Ragnarok Online Advanced Proxy).

I will be posting on how to use these programs and which servers it can be used provided that you sign up for my feed and view my site often. Ciao!
